For the anchor, see the measurement definition below. Rows follow the stored timestamps in order; nothing is filled in between rows. Reference values of the mark price of the perpetual future xyz:NVDA.

The U.S. cash session closed at 4:00 p.m. ET on Aug 26, 2026. NVIDIA had scheduled its results for twenty minutes later: "approximately 1:20 p.m. PT", which is approximately 4:20 p.m. ET.

This record does not observe the exact second the results were published. The 61.082 seconds below are counted from 4:20:00 p.m. ET.

The regular session was over. What exists after 4:00 p.m. ET is after-hours trading in the stock, and a perpetual-futures reference price that keeps updating around the clock.

This article compares the 4:00 p.m. ET anchor with perpetual-futures reference prices in the 4:20–8:00 p.m. ET window.

What was measured, and how

The data source and log intervals

The subject is the mark price of the Hyperliquid perpetual future xyz:NVDA (the NVIDIA contract issued by trade[XYZ]); this article calls it the reference price.

Log interval definition: NVDA's one-second log targeted one-second intervals from 4:05:00 p.m. ET inclusive to 5:30:00 p.m. ET exclusive. Its first saved record was at 4:05:00.121 p.m. ET and its last at 5:29:59.197 p.m. ET. The separate 30-second log targeted 30-second intervals, with records before, during and after that period.

For NVDA, "one-second log" and "30-second log" below refer to these saved series, including gaps.

For each symbol, the anchor is the last 30-second record at or before 4:00:00 p.m. ET, the close of the U.S. cash session: $209.60 for NVDA and $241.52 for MRVL. Both were stored at 3:59:41 p.m. ET on their respective observation dates. Price changes below use the corresponding symbol's anchor.

NVDA records are from Aug 26, 2026 in U.S. Eastern Time (ET); MRVL records are from Aug 27. Times are ET unless labelled JST.

JST is 13 hours ahead of ET on both dates. The records are stored in UTC. On this date ET is UTC minus 4 hours, so 20:20 UTC is 4:20 p.m. ET.

The saved logs were retrieved from the Hyperliquid public API by StockTicker24. Retrieval dates are 26 August 2026 ET for NVDA and 27 August for MRVL. SEC means the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. An 8-K is a current report; a 10-Q is a quarterly report.

MRVL$241.52$242.80$222.64$222.64-7.82%

Both rows use the 30-second log. The high/low window is 4:20–8:00 p.m. ET (3 hours 40 minutes), or 5:20–9:00 JST on the next day.

The low timestamps below are JST on Aug 27 for NVDA and Aug 28 for MRVL, 2026.

The NVDA window low in the table comes from the 30-second log at 5:22:11.886 JST. The one-second-log low at 5:22:10.118 JST is a separate record at the same price.

The MRVL window low in the table comes from the 30-second log at 8:59:50.459 JST. The one-second-log low at 6:37:54.074 JST is a separate record at the same price.

The 4:00 p.m. anchor is outside this window. The 8:00 p.m. column is the last saved value at or before that time.

For NVDA's saved series, see the log interval definition. MRVL's one-second log covers 3:55:00.106 p.m.–6:44:58.946 p.m. ET.

NVDA's low preceded its high; MRVL's high preceded its low. These are orders of stored values; no cause is inferred.

One-minute candles are stored in a separate file

NVDA has 5,032 saved one-minute candles. The one-minute candles were retrieved on 27 August 2026 ET. Open, high, low and close values are a separate series from the saved mark-price logs.

Every row shows the time of the stored record, with milliseconds dropped. The anchor follows the measurement definition. The 5:55:12 p.m. high and the 7:59:43 p.m. value come from the 30-second log.

The other rows come from the one-second log.

The low at 5:03:12 p.m. uses only one-second-log records from 5:00:00 p.m. ET inclusive to 5:30:00 p.m. ET exclusive. The first and last saved records in that interval were 5:00:00.422 p.m. and 5:29:59.197 p.m. ET.

Measured from the scheduled release time of 4:20 p.m., the first move beyond ±1% was recorded after 61.082 seconds. The low was recorded after 130.118 seconds. Elapsed times stated in whole seconds or minutes and seconds are truncated to whole seconds. The SEC accepted the 8-K at 4:21:19 p.m.

The first stored record at or after that time, 0.078 seconds after it, was $206.95 (-1.26%). The last stored record at or before it, at 4:21:18 p.m., was $207.15 (-1.17%); the four-company comparison lists that record in its “Acceptance time” row. The first move beyond ±1% had come at 4:21:01 p.m.

The acceptance time is EDGAR's receipt clock, not the observed second of publication.

From the low to the high, the swing inside the window was 7.97 percentage points against the anchor. The low came at 4:22:10 p.m. and the high at 5:55:12 p.m.

Beyond ±1% 61.082 seconds after the scheduled release time, -2.69% at 2 minutes 10 seconds, and +5.28% at 5:55:12 p.m. ET.

Headlines and reference prices use different clocks

News headlines may refer to cash-market share prices, with an outlet's own publication or update time. This article follows a perpetual-futures reference value against the fixed measurement anchor.

A lead or lag cannot be established without verified timestamps and matching instruments and comparison bases.

It peaked at 4:57:33 p.m., 37 minutes 33 seconds after the scheduled release time. By 7:59:43 p.m., 68.3% of the build-up from the anchor to the peak had unwound. Open interest can be retrieved only as an instantaneous value, so this path exists only in the records saved live on that date.

Open interest built up to +32.2%, and 68.3% of that build-up had unwound by 7:59:43 p.m. ET.

Common questions

Q. Are these NVIDIA and Marvell share prices?

A. No. They are reference values of the perpetual futures xyz:NVDA and xyz:MRVL.

They can differ from cash-market share prices and official extended-hours quotes.

Q. What is the starting point for "61.082 seconds after the release"?

A. The scheduled release time the company had announced (approximately 1:20 p.m. PT, which is approximately 4:20 p.m. ET). The 61.082 seconds are counted from 4:20:00 p.m. ET; the exact second of publication was not observed.

Measured instead from the SEC's 8-K acceptance at 4:21:19 p.m. ET, the first move beyond ±1% (4:21:01 p.m. ET) came before that second.

Q. Is the change shown on the board the same as the change in this article?

A. No. Each symbol uses the fixed anchor defined in the measurement section.

The board's ordinary daily change compares with the same symbol's previous-day reference value returned by the provider. The after-hours close comparison uses a separate close basis.

Q. Can the two symbols be compared directly?

A. The comparison uses the same anchor rule for each symbol.

Price levels themselves are not compared.

Q. Do one-minute candles match the one-second mark-price log?

A. They are separate saved series; a match is not assumed.

Q. Does movement before SEC acceptance identify the publication second?

A. No. SEC acceptance records receipt of the filing, not the observed company-publication second.

Q. Why is no reason given for the price move?

A. None is given. This article is a record of times and figures.

It does not infer causes and it does not forecast.

Summary

  • The first move beyond ±1% was recorded 61.082 seconds after the scheduled release time of 4:20 p.m. ET. The change was -2.69% at 2 minutes 10 seconds and +5.28% at 5:55:12 p.m. ET.
  • The swing inside the window was 7.97 percentage points. At the last record before 8:00 p.m. ET it stood at +4.75%.
  • Open interest peaked at +32.2% and stood at +10.2% at 7:59:43 p.m. ET.
  • The reported results were revenue of $96.2B (+106%), with an outlook of $108B ±2% (not assuming Data Center compute revenue from China).
  • NVDA is a record of Aug 26, 2026; MRVL is a record of Aug 27. MRVL reached +2.28% before SEC acceptance and was -7.82% at the last saved value before 8:00 p.m. ET. Both prices are perpetual-futures reference values.

Measurement note: the NVDA subject is the mark price of xyz:NVDA; MRVL uses the mark price of xyz:MRVL.

MRVL's one-second log covers 3:55:00.106 p.m.–6:44:58.946 p.m. ET; its 30-second log supplies the comparison through 8:00 p.m. ET.

Japan time, used in the Japanese edition of this article, is 13 hours ahead of ET on this date.

The logs are not gap-free; see saved counts and gaps for both symbols. Gaps were not interpolated. In the timetable, every row is a stored record time.

The anchor follows the measurement definition.

MRVL source: Marvell, 8-K filing index dated August 27, 2026, published by SEC EDGAR; retrieved Sep 11, 2026. Saved MRVL mark-price logs cover Aug 27, 2026 ET; the comparison uses the same anchor rule as the Japanese edition.

The source for the scheduled release time (approximately 1:20 p.m. PT) is NVIDIA's official press release dated Jul 29, 2026, announcing the conference call. That release and NVIDIA's results release of Aug 26 both give the conference call as 2 p.m. PT (5 p.m. ET); the scheduled clocks were re-read on Sep 11, 2026. The earnings figures come from NVIDIA's official press release, the 8-K (accepted at 4:21:19 p.m. ET on Aug 26, 2026) and the 10-Q (accepted at 4:36:00 p.m. ET; period ended Jul 26, 2026).

Update history: On Sep 30, 2026 the clock times were restated in U.S. Eastern Time; the stored records, the anchor and the formulas did not change. On the same day the two stored records on either side of the SEC acceptance time were labelled separately.

In September 2026 the timetable labels, the scheduled clocks, the gap figures, the earnings figures and the SEC acceptance times were re-checked against the stored logs, NVIDIA's releases and SEC EDGAR; the X mention counts and the headline comparison were withdrawn because their sources could not be re-checked.

Current reference prices appear on the NVIDIA symbol page and Marvell symbol page. For how prices print while the U.S. cash session is shut, see the S&P 500 outside U.S. cash hours; for the overnight measurement on another index, see how much the Nikkei 225 moves overnight.
